Microsoft will issue two bulletins for Patch Tuesday next week--a "critical" one because of the risk of remote code execution attacks affecting Windows, and an "important" one for Office, according to CNET News. The patches are expected to be released on May 10, 2011.
Affected software includes Windows Server 2003, Server 2008, Office XP, Office 2003, Office 2007, Office 2004 for Mac and Office 2008 for Mac, according to the company’s advance notice.
Also ZDNET reports that Microsoft also announced plans to modify its Exploitability Index to provide more details for Windows users running the newest software versions.
